Meanwhile, Amethio and his crew continues their pursuit of Liko's pendant and arrives on the airship. Liko meets Friede's other companions and begins to trust them. Friede, the man with the Lizardon, takes Liko away from danger and brings her to an airship known as the Brave Asagi. Liko, now encased in a green sphere, sees a strange Pokémon, which disappears moments later. Eventually, Liko selects Nyahoja as her first Pokémon, but the two of them struggle to see eye to eye. Liko, a shy girl from the Paldea region arrives in Kanto to begin her studies at the Indigo Academy. The Japanese Opening Theme is "Heart-Pounding Diary" ( ドキメキダイアリー, Dokimeki Daiarī) by asmi feat Chinozo. Among their journeys, they encounter Friede, a Pokémon professor whose Pokémon partner is Captain Pikachu. Unlike the previous seasons, which followed Ash Ketchum, this season features Liko, a girl from the Paldea region, who is accompanied by Sprigatito, one of the region's starter Pokémon, and wears a mysterious pendant, and Roy, a boy from the Kanto region who possesses a mysterious Poké Ball. It is based on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Character design is handled by Yamazaki, and music composed by Conisch. It is directed by Saori Den, with Daiki Tomiyasu as creative director, Tetsuo Yajima as action director, and Dai Satō supervising the scripts. It premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo on April 14, 2023.
